01 Day: Arrival Delhi
Assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
02 Day: Delhi - Khajuraho (By Air)
Morning after breakfast checkout and drive to the airport to board the scheduled flight for Khajuraho. Assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel. After some relaxation take a sightseeing tour of Khajuraho, worldly known for its magnificent temples of erotica built between 950 A.D. and 1050 A.D. take a visit at fascinating western group of temples. Visit the Laxman Temple dedicated to lord Vishnu, the Laxmi and Varaha temples dedicated to Vishnu’s consort Laxman, the Kandariya Mahadev temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Chausath Yogini temple dedicated to goddess Kali. Also visit Archaeological museum with its collection of stone sculptures of the Chandela dynasty. Return to the hotel for overnight.
03 Day: Khajuraho - Varanasi (By Air)
Early morning visit Eastern group of Temples and visit the Jain temples of Parsvanath, Adinath, and Shanti Nath. Later checkout and drive to the airport to board the scheduled flight for Varanasi. On arrival transfer to the hotel. After some relaxation explore the Varanasi by taking an excursion to Sarnath, located at 10 Kms from Varanasi where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to the five holy men; visit at Dharmarajika Stupa, Dhamekh Stupa - the place where Buddha preached first sermon, the Archaeological museum, and the Ashok Pillar with 4 lions, built in 3rd Centaury BC., symbolize both Ashoka's imperial rule and the kingship of the Buddha. Return back to Varanasi, evening take a boat ride on the River Ganges and see the various Ghats with people ritually cleansing their sins. While on the boat you will also see the cremation ceremonies of dead bodies as per Hindi Rituals. Return drive back to the hotel for overnight.
04 Day: Varanasi
Early morning take a boat ride for a pilgrimage from ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where funeral pyre burns day and night. Later sightseeing tour of the city visiting the Bharat Mata temple, Durga temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Banaras Hindu University which has an Art Gallery and the Mosque of Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb built on the site of an ancient Hindu temple. In the evening visit most famous temple is the Kashi Vishvanath, though off-limits to non-Hindus, can be seen from the top floor of the old house opposite it, strolling in narrow lanes of the colourful bazaar of ancient city. Again in the evening take a boat ride on river Ganges. Later return to the hotel for overnight stay.
05 Day: Varanasi - Katmandu (By Air)
Morning after breakfast checkout and drive to the airport to board your scheduled flight for Katmandu. Assistance on arrival, and transfer to hotel, later the day visit the Monasteries & Stupas of Kathmandu, overnight at the hotel.
06 Day: Katmandu
After breakfast visit The Pashupatinath Temple, situated on the banks of River Baghmati around 8 km from the city, is one of the holiest Hindu shrines. Also visit Guheshwari Temple near Pashupatinath is considered as the place where Yoni of Shiva’s consort Sati fell when she was cut into pieces by Lord Vishnu. Later visit Boudhnath which is one of the largest stupas in the world. Also sightseeing of Kathmandu Durbar Square & Swayambhunath Buddhist Temple. Overnight in Kathmandu.
07 Day: Katmandu
Early morning take an excursion tour to Nagarkot at 0400 hrs to see the sun rise from Nagarkot, after Sunrise visit the Village of Nagarkot & return to Kathmandu, rest of the day free for shopping at Thamel, overnight in Kathmandu.
08 Day: Katmandu
Early morning the day is left free for shopping at Thamel and individual activities. Overnight in Kathmandu.
09 Day: Katmandu - Pokhra (200 kms/ 5 hrs)
In the morning check out the hotel and drive to Pokhra, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Day free for rest and individual activities in the Pokhara. If time permit take half day sightseeing of the city. Later in the evening one can enjoy boat ride at Fewa Lake. Overnight at the hotel.
10 Day: Pokhra
Early morning take an excursion to Sarangkot (45 minutes drive) overlooking the valley and Fewa Tal. Known for its sunrise, where on a clear day you can see an unobstructed view of the Himalayan Mountains of Annapurna rang, Dhauligiri, Fishtail. Optionally you may opt on your own for paragliding with fantastic views of the mountains and the city below. After visit return to Pokhra and take a city tour, visiting Davis Falls, Binde Basini Temple, Mahindra Caves, and Seti George. Evening free for leisure activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
11 Day: Pokhra - Katmandu (200 kms/ 5 hrs)
Morning after breakfast checkout and drive to Katmandu. On arrival transfer to the international airport to board your scheduled flight for hometown. |
